Line & Circle combines early 4AD dream pop with chiming I.R.S. Records-era guitar rock to create melodically rich and rhythmically urgent pop music. The group's sound has been equated to "Michael Stipe jamming with Johnny Marr" (Rolling Stone) and praised as "jangly, dreamy guitar-pop of the highest caliber" (Stereogum) and "post-modern and majestic" (KEXP).

Line & Circle arrived on the national scene in 2012 after releasing its debut 7” single “Roman Ruins”/“Carelessness” on White Iris Records, which received wide acclaim and landed on a number of critics’ Best Song of The Year polls on both sides of the Atlantic. The band’s 2015 debut full length Split Figure appeared on The A.V. Club’s ballots for best albums and best singles (“Like A Statue”) of the year.

In fall 2018, Line & Circle toured the west coast with R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck and singer/songwriter Joseph Arthur’s new supergroup Arthur Buck. The band’s newest single “Full Disclosure” was released September 7th. Sharon Van Etten named it one of her favorite songs of the year, and Uproxx’s Stephen Hyden noted the band’s “oft-breathtaking melodies are absolutely timeless.”
